Biography

Daniela Ortiz has been teaching languages for over 20 years and is passionate about helping students take ownership of their learning process and grow in their language mastery. She has taught both traditional, online, and hybrid/blended courses. She enjoys using the flipped teaching model which has allowed her to focus more on class collaboration, interaction, and individualized feedback. Her research interests are hybrid/blended language teaching, how students develop their speaking skills best, using collaborative boards, and creating third spaces in the classrooms, among other things. On a personal level, she loves reading, gardening, doing puzzles, and taking long walks on the beach.
